The remote management facility makes life easy for controlling kiosks across multiple locations by sharing information like pricing, product/service updates, customer membership details, new promotions, paper management for instant printers and CD management for kiosks with CD dispensers. Retailers can run marketing and customer loyalty programs across all kiosks in a chain of stores and produce centralised management reports.
Digital Control Module (DCM)
The Digital Control Module (DCM) controls the flow of work between the Photo kiosk and a wide range of local output devices including digital labs. It also receives orders from Photo kiosk home ordering software. Images can be pre-judged and corrected before printing using the DCM. The DCM also allows you to reprint or redo part of an order.
There are three ways the DCM can be used to activate a job direct to an output device.
1.
Automatic – Photo kiosk takes in the job, the DCM processes the work automatically and sends it to the correct output.
2.
Manual – Photo kiosk queues the jobs on the DCM and an operator manually ticks the jobs that are ready for processing. Mainly used by operations that don't have Business Professional EPOS software, as the order is only activated once payment is received.
3.
Business Professional EPOS - Once a payment is taken in the Business Professional Electronic Point of Sale system, or a job is set to ready, the DCM automatically triggers the processing of that job.
